This page explains what data ProAIE stores when you connect a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) advertising account to your ProAIE tenant, and how to have that data removed. See our Privacy Policy for the broader treatment of data across the whole platform.
What ProAIE stores from a Meta connection
When a tenant admin clicks Connect Meta Ads in the ProAIE Reports feature and authorizes our app, we store — encrypted at rest — only what is needed to fetch campaign spend for the tenant's reports:
- A long-lived Meta OAuth access token (approximately 60 days, re-exchanged before expiry);
- The ad account ID and human-readable name the tenant selected during the connect flow;
- The token's stored expiry timestamp so we know when to refresh or prompt for reconnection.
We do not store your Facebook profile, friends
list, page data, messages, or any information beyond what is
strictly required to call Meta's Marketing API for the ad account
you connected. We only request the ads_read and
business_management scopes, both of which are read-only.
Spend data pulled during a report generation is used to render the
report and is discarded from working memory as soon as the report
is written.
How to delete this data — two options
Option 1: Disconnect in the ProAIE app (immediate, self-serve)
The fastest way. You control this yourself and the deletion happens the same second you click.
- Sign in at proaie.com.
- Go to Reports in the top navigation.
- Click the tab for the Meta source you want to remove (labeled "Meta · <ad account name>").
- Click Disconnect and confirm.
The token and ad-account metadata are deleted from our database immediately. Meta is not notified separately — the token becomes unused; you can also revoke it from your own Meta account at Facebook Settings → Business Integrations.
Option 2: Email support (if you can't sign in)
If you no longer have access to the ProAIE account that owns the connection — for example, you have left the organization that owns the tenant, or the tenant admin who set up the connection is unreachable — send us a deletion request:
In your email, include whatever you can to help us identify the connection to delete:
- Your Meta user ID (the numeric ID shown at the end of your
facebook.com/meURL when signed in), or the name on your Facebook account; - The ad account name or ad account ID that was connected;
- The ProAIE tenant name (business name) if you know it.
We respond to deletion requests within 30 days, typically within one business day. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
What we cannot delete for you
ProAIE cannot delete data held on Meta's own servers. To delete or audit data on the Meta side, go to your Facebook Settings or Meta Business Suite directly.
If you have generated reports in ProAIE that already incorporated ad-spend numbers pulled from your Meta account before you disconnected, those historical reports remain in your tenant so you can still view them — but no new fetches happen against Meta once the connection is removed. If you want past reports deleted too, use the Delete button on each report row in Reports → Past reports, or ask us via the support email above.
